Apple Cornbread

Chef: Cake/Bread
Difficulty: Easy

 
 
Ingredients Needed:

1 cup cornmeal
1 cup sifted flour
1/4 cup sugar
3 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1/4 cup melted shortening
1 apple, finely diced

 

 

Cooking Instructions:

Mix dry ingredients and wet ingredients separetly. Combine, add diced apples, stir lightly, and pour into well-greased 9-inch square pan. Bake at 425 deg F for 20-25 min.
